Left or Right

One went left. The other went right

Left was safe

Right was risky

Left looked easy

Right had danger

Left had bright skies and a paved path

Right was full of clouds and a broken road

Left had singing birds

Right had menacing howls

Left seemed kind

Right did not

Who took the correct path? Who ended at their desired destination?

Majority of readers would obviously say left. Sure it was the easiest road but it got them there faster.

There are those few who would say right was the path to take.

Because…

Well…

I’m sure you know if that has been you.

Our roads aren’t always easy. There’s a few bumps and bruises and a whole lot of scraped knees. Definitely took a lot longer than expected. It almost makes you want to turn around and take the left road. This road is certainly not for the faint of heart.

Still…

Both roads met again at the end.

Both paths merged into one.

Both encountered the monster at the end.

One came out victorious.

You see, the left path had it easy. A lovely walk in the park with nothing to worry about. But they weren’t challenged. They weren’t strong. They didn’t learn anything.

But the right path, well they had it rough. They had to fight. They had to survive. They were forced to become strong. The good thing about it, is that they had the strength they needed to take out the monster. They made it to the land. They made it to paradise. They made it to glory.
